UAE's Green Visa: Opportunity for the long-term residency: Who can apply?

First of all, it is of utmost importance to know that the Green Visa issued by the United Arab Emirates is a type of residence visa, that allows its holder to sponsor himself or herself for a long period of 5 years. This would help the holder by eliminating the need for a UAE national or employer to sponsor his or her visa. United Arab Emirates green visa is also a type of UAE residence permit allowing skilled employees, freelancers, investors, and entrepreneurs to live and work in the country. Government of UAE introduced this visa category in 2022 to differentiate between work and residency permits.

Having said that it is very important to note that without having a valid employment contract it will not be good enough for the skilled employees to try for a Green Visa. Another important criterion for the skilled employees is nothing but must be classified in the first, second or third occupational level as per Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization. This is also of very much prevalence and of utmost importance.

Another important factor of criteria for the skilled employees is nothing but holding a minimum of bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Because as we have already mentioned before, it very important to have the educational qualification.

Another important criterion for the skilled employees is the criteria of having a salary of not less than AED 15,000 per month. So, if all these criteria are met the skilled employees can easily apply for the Green Visa of the United Arab Emirates.
